  • February 2024   There are few changes in law from year to year that are as sweeping and as significant as the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA), which was enacted by Congress to help prevent and combat money laundering, terrorist financing, corruption, and tax fraud. The CTA requires that on and after January 1, 2024, virtually all businesses must file, and subsequently update, a Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) Report with the U.S. Department of Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN).
