Professional Experience
Philip C. Zvonicek is the resident partner at the Irvine office, where he practices commercial, construction and real estate law. Mr. Zvonicek represents commercial, industrial, and residential landlords in all aspects of real estate, including negotiating agreements, prosecuting breach of lease claims, unlawful detainers, defending lawsuits involving claims of habitability, wrongful eviction, and statutory violations. Mr. Zvonicek has represented landlords and tenants in over 100 lawsuits involving claims of statutory violations related to the Americans with Disabilities Act. His successful and proven approach to identifying risks and experienced settlement strategies has resulted in significant cost savings to his clients. He was named to the Southern California Super Lawyers list as a top attorney in California by Los Angeles Magazine in 2017, 2018 and annually from 2021 through 2026.
Mr. Zvonicek also represents homeowners associations and management companies with respect to residential and commercial property management issues. He advises on revisions to governing documents, informal dispute resolution, compliance with governing documents, and enforcement proceedings.
Mr. Zvonicek maintains a broad and diverse client base which ranges from individuals and small start-ups, to large regional and global companies. Mr. Zvonicek is general counsel to several real estate and property management companies wherein he handles all aspects of their real estate matters.
Mr. Zvonicek represents businesses in California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA) litigation, including claims arising from website tracking technologies, session replay software, chat features, and alleged pen register violations. He partners with clients to proactively assess privacy compliance, mitigate litigation risk, and develop practical, business-oriented strategies to efficiently and cost-effectively resolve claims and lawsuits.
Mr. Zvonicek has a background in construction litigation representing developers, general contractors, subcontractors, and material and equipment suppliers in construction disputes. He represents and consults with homeowners, developers and contractors on construction defect claims and has frequently been brought into complex construction disputes as co-counsel to help facilitate resolution.
