PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

As a third generation Las Vegan, Steven Mack and his family have been involved in Las Vegas businesses, real estate, banking, construction and development for more than 90 years.  Mr. Mack’s law practice has focused on real estate, construction, contracts, corporate, business and real estate transactions and litigation, serving various construction companies (generals and subs), real estate companies, brokers and agents as well as lenders, developers, business owners and individual investors. Because Mr. Mack was a Pro-Tem Municipal Court Judge for the City of Las Vegas (criminal) for 19 years and uses that experience to provide limited case by case criminal defense as well.

 

For fifteen years, Mr. Mack worked in-house as a transactional attorney and/or officer of the businesses. Mr. Mack was the COO and General Counsel of an Advertising company for a year, then served as Commercial Counsel for Triple Five Corporation for almost three years, Nevada Legal Counsel for Dyson & Dyson Real Estate Associates for seven years, Assistant General Counsel for NV Energy for a year and was Executive Vice President/General Counsel of Peek Construction Company and Williams Brother, Inc. from 2009 through 2012.

 

Mr. Mack has always been involved the Las Vegas community, appointed by the Clark County Commission to serve on the Jaycees Retirement Community Board of Directors for over 10 years, assisting seniors and their living needs. Mr. Mack is also past President of the Fremont Rotary Club, past President of the Buena Park Boys and Girls Club, a founding board member for several years and past Co-President of the Interfaith Hospitality Network (now named Family Promise, a coalition specifically aimed to assist homeless families to get off the street and into homes and jobs), as well as formerly serving several years as a member of the Boys Nite Out Committee and other fundraising committees for the Las Vegas Boys and Girls Club. Additionally, Mr. Mack had served for two terms as Chairman of The Court Reporters Board for the State of Nevada, first appointed by Governor Miller and then reappointed by Governor Guinn.

 

In addition, Mr. Mack, as a member of the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors assisted in drafting and reviewing most of the forms used by the Realtors, including the Residential Purchase Agreement, which began as the agreement he originally drafted for use by Dyson & Dyson agents.  Further, Mr. Mack was a co-founder of the Risk Reduction Graduate (RRG) program at GLVAR, which is a program and designation designed to increase the knowledge of what agents should already know, and successfully reduces Errors & Omissions insurance rates for Brokers.  Mr. Mack taught several CE classes and wrote multiple articles at GLVAR for several years, when the RRG program first was offered to the Realtors.  Mr. Mack still teaches CE Classes for Realtors, on call as requested.

 

Mr. Mack has three grown children, professionally successful, all of which attended Clark County Public Schools and Nevada Universities.
