Maxwell Harrington is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Gibbs Giden where he represents clients in all areas of business and commercial matters with a specialized focus on construction litigation. Mr. Harrington has experience handling complex construction disputes (both public and private), as well as commercial litigation, business disputes, contract analysis, contract drafting, real estate transactions and disputes, corporate governance issues, and employment disputes. Mr. Harrington provides strategic counsel to clients throughout every phase of litigation and arbitration, from the initial pleading stage, discovery, taking depositions, preparing expert witnesses, drafting and arguing motions, to preparing for and participating in mediation, arbitration, and trial. Mr. Harrington has successfully represented several large construction firms in multi-million-dollar disputes. He helps clients obtain favorable judgments and is experienced in enforcing judgments through various collection remedies. Mr. Harrington is an active member of the American Bar Association (ABA) Forum on Construction Law.
Before pursuing his legal career, Mr. Harrington gained valuable business experience operating a startup in the United Kingdom, where he directed operations through its initial round of funding and eventual merger. This hands-on experience has provided him with a deeper understanding of business operations, corporate strategy, and the complexities of business-related disputes
