Professional Experience

Kyle Marks is a partner in Gibbs Giden’s Westlake office. Kyle represents title insurance companies and their insureds, escrow companies, the financial services industry, homeowners, landlords, contractors, and banks in issues related to real property, title, escrow, and more.  His extensive experience with litigation and discovery issues including pre-trial motions, demurrers, ex-parte applications and depositions – all focusing on title matters – allows him to be uniquely positioned to handle both litigation and transactional matters related to title and the related disputes. 

Kyle also handles title reviews for both commercial and residential property purchases, the preparation of easements and boundary agreements, corrective deeds, and other matters that are not confrontational in nature but require the assistance of someone that has been through the fight on those matters that have gone south.  Kyle has also completed 40 hours of mediation training and has been specially trained in inter-cultural mediation and negotiation.  Additionally, Kyle is an adjunct professor at Southwestern Law School where he teaches “Courtroom Procedure 101.” 

Kyle was named an Outstanding Young Lawyer for 2015 by the Real Property Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Kyle was also selected to the California Super Lawyers Rising Stars lists every year from 2013 to 2024 and was additionally identified as part of the “Up-And-Coming 100” List for 2022, 2023, and 2024
