Professional Experience

Ryan represents businesses and individuals in litigation and arbitration in federal and state courts in California and other jurisdictions.

His background includes complex and general business disputes, construction litigation, real estate litigation, contract litigation, fraud litigation, high-net-worth family disputes, and class action defense. Ryan handles client matters at all stages of dispute resolution including pre-litigation mediation, trials, arbitrations, post-trial and judgment debtor proceedings, and appeals to applicable state and federal courts. Whether negotiating creative settlements or efficiently litigating matters, Ryan deploys his depth of experience to resolve legal issues effectively and in alignment with the client’s aims. 

Before coming to Gibbs Giden, Ryan practiced at a large international law firm in its commercial litigation practice group. Prior to entering private practice, Ryan served as a fellow for the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. His policy and legislative focus concerned civil class actions, financial elder abuse, trademark and copyright actions, and the Puerto Rican debt crisis.
