PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Luke Landers is an associate in the Westlake office of Gibbs Giden where he represents a wide variety of clients in the areas of construction claims and litigation in addition to business and commercial transactions.  Mr. Landers has represented a number of general contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers in complex multi-party litigation with excellent results. He has handled cases complicated construction matters involving issues related to steel welding, timely completion of work, and matters involving intricate issues of contract interpretation and surety law.

Mr. Landers also represents commercial and residential landlords in all aspects of real estate, including defending lawsuits involving claims of habitability, wrongful eviction, and statutory violations.

Mr. Landers also represents homeowners associations and management companies with respect to residential and commercial property management and litigation. He advises on revisions to governing documents, informal dispute resolution, compliance with governing documents, and enforcement proceedings.

Prior to joining Gibbs Giden, Mr. Landers was an associate at a prominent law firm where he represented plaintiffs in serious personal injury and wrongful death matters.  Mr. Landers also worked in the administration of Pepperdine University where he handled contract and project administration for the university’s capital building projects.

Before pursuing law, Mr. Landers started his career as an analyst at a middle market investment bank in Dallas, Texas where he focused on mergers & acquisitions and capital raises.
