Prior to joining Gibbs Giden Mr. Adams was a licensed Property and Casualty broker responsible for placing construction project (OCIP/CCIP, Owner/GC Project Specific and Owner’s Interest) and practice policies. Team placed roughly $150M+ in annual premiums equating to billions of dollars in construction value and hundreds of wrap-ups and other project placements. Mr. Adams worked with retail brokers nationwide to generate opportunities and provide primary and excess project solutions to the largest general contractors, developers and Fortune 500 companies in the country. Projects ranged from $5M-$1B+ in value and included stadiums, airports, high rises, infrastructure, malls, hotels, condominiums, apartments, distressed assets, partially completed projects, takeover projects, completed operations run- off programs, maintenance wrap-ups, large excess limits, follow form excess products and home-builder programs. Mr. Adams is a sought-after speaker at seminars across the country regarding high level construction risk management and insurance topics with a focus on creating new products, program design and industry education. Mr. Adams spent a more than a decade as founding member of full service litigation law firms. His primary practice areas include common interest development law, construction defect litigation, insurance bad faith and business representation/litigation. He has represented homeowner’s associations as general counsel, handling all aspects of client needs from day-to-day management, governing document drafting/enforcement, contract formation/negotiation, collections to litigation. He represents clients in mediation, arbitration, trial, and/or other informal dispute resolution mechanisms resulting in favorable outcomes.
