PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Mr. Turner has more than 30 years of experience litigating construction disputes. He is currently and consistently rated as a leading California construction law attorney as recognized by Chambers USA since 2012, by Southern California Super Lawyers magazine as one of the top attorneys in Southern California for construction litigation, and by Best Lawyers®. Mr. Turner is AV Rated® Preeminent™ by Martindale-Hubbell. He has tried cases to verdict in complicated construction matters involving issues related to structural steel welding, timely completion of work, and matters involving intricate issues of contract interpretation and surety law. Mr. Turner has tried cases before juries, judges, and arbitrators. Mr. Turner has represented a number of municipal governments, general contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers in complex multi-party litigation with tremendous results. Mr. Turner views his involvement in pretrial preparation as essential to obtaining favorable settlements, awards, verdicts, and judgments.

Mr. Turner is also an experienced appellate advocate who recently has achieved two reversals of decisions made by courts against his clients. Mr. Turner works closely with his clients to develop a team approach to any litigation. Mr. Turner is a frequent speaker at numerous construction associations and organizations and provides seminars on California construction law topics to many groups including National Electrical Contractors Association, Associated Builders & Contractors, National Association of Women in Construction, and the Building Industry Credit Association. He is often a construction law guest speaker for various UCLA Extension classes.

Most recently, Mr. Turner obtained a $54,000,000 unanimous jury verdict in favor of his client, the City of Victorville, for the failed Foxborough power plant project.
